PSLE Marking Days 2026: A 3-Day Home Plan for Younger Siblings

Quick answer: The 2026 PSLE marking days are Monday, 12 October to Wednesday, 14 October 2026. MOE’s academic calendar lists them under national exams as the PSLE marking exercise, not as a school holiday. SEAB says schools will make arrangements to facilitate the marking, so whether a Primary 1 to Primary 5 child attends school on those days depends on each school’s notice to parents. If the notice says pupils stay home, we suggest one small activity a day.

The PSLE written papers ended on 30 September. For a younger brother or sister, the marking days can mean three weekdays at home in the middle of Term 4. We would not try to fill every hour. One build, one game and one longer project is enough.

When are the PSLE marking days in 2026?

The marking days run from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 October 2026. MOE’s calendar, SEAB’s important dates and SEAB’s 2026 PSLE rules booklet all give the same dates, which we checked on 9 October 2026. Term 4 then continues until Friday, 20 November 2026.

Is there school for P1 to P5 on the marking days?

There is no single national answer, because each school makes its own arrangements. If the school’s notice says pupils stay home, the plan below covers all three days. If not, it works just as well across afternoons and the weekend.

What can younger siblings do at home for three days?

Prices below are as listed on toytag.com on 9 October 2026.

Day Our pick Box age Price (SGD)
Monday 12 Oct Smartivity Blast-off Space Rocket 6–10 26.90
Tuesday 13 Oct Kopi King or Durian Dash 6+ / 8+ 20.00 / 19.90
Wednesday 14 Oct Smartivity Electro Play Lab 8–14 39.90

Monday: a small build with a launch at the end

Smartivity Blast-off Space Rocket

The Smartivity Blast-off Space Rocket is a wooden rocket with its own launcher. Building it teaches elastic energy, gravity and weight, and a learner’s log sheet lets children record each launch. It is for ages 6 to 10 and costs SGD 26.90.

Tuesday: a card game the family can join

Kopi King

Kopi King is a game about kopitiam drinks. Players collect ingredients to fill drink orders, and whoever earns the most wins. It is for ages 6 and up, takes 1 to 6 players and lasts 15 to 20 minutes, so a Primary 1 child and a Primary 6 sibling can play together. It costs SGD 20.00.

Durian Dash

For three or more players aged 8 and up, Durian Dash has everyone collecting durians from the plantations while dodging each other’s spikes. It takes 3 to 6 players, lasts 15 to 20 minutes and costs SGD 19.90.

Wednesday: a longer project

Smartivity Electro Play Lab

By the third day, there is time for a bigger build. Children build the Smartivity Electro Play Lab into a wooden electricity game board with a figure called Volt-E, then use it for 8 experiments on charges, currents and circuits. It is for ages 8 to 14, so we would give it to a Primary 3 to Primary 5 child, or build it together with a younger one. It costs SGD 39.90.

What about the Primary 6 child?

The papers are done, and the marking days are not a reason to start revising again. Our post-PSLE play plan has our shortlist for Primary 6 children. For a child who wants to build and code, our piece on the LEGO Education Computer Science & AI kits explains what they are.

How can I get the toys before Monday?

Website orders qualify for free 2-day shipping within Singapore once the basket reaches SGD 50. The rocket, Kopi King and the Electro Play Lab together come to SGD 86.70. We would not count on a late-week order arriving by Monday.
